I was in a rush to do some graphic design last week and I went searching for pre-made design templates for Pages. The last time I did this it was a waste of time – the ‘professional’ templates were, well, my kids could do a better job. This time though I found some stunning templates.
Firstly let me say I am not affiliated with these guys at all. Secondly let me say these templates are awesome! And while it costs $25, it’s cheap compared to paying your own graphic designer.
This collection from a mob called ‘Graphic Node’ is called ‘Templates for Pages’ and it’s available from the App Store. It was at version 3.1 when I downloaded it.
The pack is 3 Gigabytes (yes 3 GB!) and took about an hour to download, but that 3GB contains over 1400 templates of all kinds – books covers, invitations, flyers, cards etc. And they all look stunning.
The app opens up a window and you get a scrollable window where you can browse all the designs. You can search but the search was next to useless as it only searched the titles and her were not very descriptive. Browsing on the other hand was a nice experience. You click the template you like and it opens it in Pages.

The purchase link on the website takes you to the Apple App store where the bundle costs $24.95. I found a link here where it was half price ($12.50). That special seems to be over now but it might be worth checking from time to time: mac update special.

Apple's Pages application supports the creation of master files that enable you to control a consistent look across company documents like forms, letterheads and newsletters. Incorporate business details like company name and address along with your logo, if desired, and establish a custom look and feel. Create a set of templates so you do the work once and then use the templates to create other documents.
1.
Launch Pages and click 'New Document.' Click the 'Blank' option and the 'Choose' button to open a blank page.
2.
Click the 'Text Box' option. Place it in a desired location and type the company information inside it. Select the content. Click the 'Fonts' button and use the menus, such as Typeface and Size, to style the information. You can also click the 'Inspector' button and select the 'Text' tab to access the menus that let you modify the color, alignment, spacing and margins.
3.
Click the 'Insert' menu and click 'Choose' to select a picture file from your computer. Alternately, click 'Media' and select 'Photos' or drag and drop your graphic on the document where you prefer.
4.
Use the menus in the Inspector to style the other features you want transferred to future documents. Click 'Wrap inspector,' for instance, to determine how your images flow with the text, or click 'Document inspector' to apply the page margins you want.
5.
Click the 'File' menu and select 'Save as Template' to name your template and save it to your My Templates folder. Click the 'Save' button to finish. To create a new document from your template, launch Pages and select your file under the My Templates heading in the Template Chooser.
Tip
If the Template Chooser does not automatically launch in Pages, click the 'Pages' menu. Click 'Preferences' and 'General.' Click the button next to Show Template Chooser.
